I'm not sure what I can add to the other reviews. You can buy this book as one of a set of three, or all in one. If you bought the 'all in one', then there is no need to get this book because it was already included. If you didn't get the 'all in one', then this is definitely something you want to add to your library. This book is more REAL than any other books I've read. The main characters aren't invulnerable, infections are serious because antibiotics aren't available at the pharmacy on the corner, food is scarce unless you know where to look, etc. I've learned as much from this series as from any survival manual, because it puts everything in context. You remember more when you 'see it' verses reading a page in a manual.The author doesn't skip over the less pleasant aspects of what happens when there isn't anyone around to enforce the rules of civilized behavior. Check out how people behave a few days after any natural disaster. This is no different, except that there is no food dropped from planes and no police force to restore order. All you have is you and your neighbors.

If you're concerned the this country is headed, these book series are a must read. The author really makes you think, are you really prepared for the worst
Great book full of good advice for prepping and possible scenario's. The author has definitely studied his subject and brought good characters in to the books. I gave this five stars because i believe it is matiereal that all should study and it is laid out well.
Well worth your time with this one. You will not waste your time!
If you have read the very first book, Volume 2 & 3 just repeat the same bloody story! Why buy it?
This book is a good read but not as good as the previous books.In places the writing is disjointed and the character development suffers greatly, leaving the reader feeling as if he has missed something important. This causes the reader to have to go back and reread previous sections of the book.
This book is fantastic to preppers and just story readers alike. Plenty of action as the two main characters are making their way to their "retreat" in post SHTF world. The story is great but even better than just the story, along the way, the book gives out tips that any prepper can use to add to their knowledge in how to survive. I plan to be reading this book over and over several times. I would encourage anyone to read this and the two previous books as soon as they can.
Bought this book tonight, can't put it down. Very well written, have read more than half the book since I bought it tonight. Now 3am, guess I'm gonna have to put it down and go to bed, don't want to. It has parts that keep you seriously on the edge of your chair, cheering on the good guys (and gals) and hoping the bad guys don't come out on top. Looking forward to getting the rest of the series.
